About Sophie Whitley Photo

With a relaxed and friendly approach, I focus on preserving genuine moments through documentary-style photography. My goal is to create natural and candid photos that really reflect your day, moments you might have missed, pictured you didn't know were being taken.

My greatest strength as a photographer is the ability to put people at ease, provide a warm and calming presence, and never miss when an amazing moment is about to happen.

I try to really get to know my clients ahead of a day, meeting up for a drink where possible or a video call. It makes such a difference when your photographer doesn't feel like a stranger on the day!

Our Story

Based on the beach in Crosby Liverpool, I specialize in capturing the authenticity and emotion of weddings, corporate events, family gatherings, parties and charity projects. ​With a relaxed and friendly approach, I focus on preserving genuine moments through documentary-style photography. My goal is to create natural and candid photos that truly reflect the essence of each event, allowing you to cherish these memories for a lifetime. By really getting to know you ahead of the day, I can tailor make every photo set to include the things that matter the most to you. ​My photography journey started working alongside my husband Ste Forshaw- a wedding musician. Often accompanying him to events to photograph the band or lend a hand, I realised this was exactly where I wanted to be. Capturing people on the best days of their lives!​

A very tiny team. I am the main photographer. I sometimes bring with me a second shooter, my neighbour, colleague & best friend Jen, she's a wonderful human and has a fantastic eye.

Along side my photography packages, I work with Ste Forshaw weddings & events & The Hope street busking band, to offer a combined photo & live music service.

Experience

Having worked in the wedding industry alongside the musicians I manage for so many years, making the leap to full time wedding photography seemed like a natural next step, and I haven't looked back since.

I now shoot around 40 weddings a year, so I'm booked, busy and having a wonderful time meeting, and falling in love with, so many gorgeous couples each month.

Each year that I have been trading I have been nominated for the North West Photographer of the year award, and have made some fantastic links with clients, other wedding suppliers and venues around the country. It is such a joy to be a part of this community.

Amazing service!

I could not recommend Sophie enough! She has been amazing from the day I booked right up to the end of my wedding day. She was so calm and organised throughout the day and made sure everything was seamless when issues arose. She is so friendly and helped us relax when taking our photos, even though we aren’t the most photogenic. I have only seen the sneak peeks, which are amazing! Can’t wait for the rest. Thankyou!

Amazing!

Sophie was incredible. From the sneak peaks the photographs are perfect! Sophie helped make the day extra special, she felt part of the day and was especially amazing with all the children. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic service

Sophie was amazing from beginning to end, made us all feel at ease took fantastic photos was always there when we looked around got so many great pics love the ones that were taken unaware of us such a pleasure to have her there thank you the previews look amazing can't wait for the finished album
