Our Story

After years of service in the military and managing pubs across the UK, I found myself drawn back to my true passion—food and hospitality. The discipline, resilience, and leadership I developed in the armed forces, combined with the people-first mindset I honed in the pub industry, laid the perfect foundation for launching my own catering business. I started this venture not just to serve meals, but to create experiences. Food has always been my love language—whether it's crafting a comforting dish for a family gathering or curating a vibrant spread for a corporate event. I believe that hospitality is about connection, and every plate I serve is an invitation to share in something meaningful. What inspires me most is the joy on someone’s face when they taste something that reminds them of home, or the buzz of a room brought together by great food. I’m driven by the belief that catering isn’t just about feeding people—it’s about celebrating life’s moments, big and small, with flavour, warmth, and heart.

After years in the military and managing pubs, I followed my heart and built Soulflava from the ground up, blending discipline with creativity and a whole lot of soul. Together, we bring warmth, energy, and excellence to every dish we serve and every event we cater.
