Our Story
The story of Spudski is a journey of returning to my first passion. I originally trained and worked as a chef during my university years and immediately after graduating, gaining five years of vital experience in various professional restaurant kitchens. Life eventually led me into a ten-year career within the employability sector, but after being made redundant twice in a single year in 2024, I decided it was time to return to my roots. I took that challenge as the perfect opportunity to combine my culinary background with my desire to run my own business, and Spudski was born.
I started Spudski because I believe that even the most familiar dishes deserve a chef’s touch. I wanted to take the iconic British jacket potato and elevate it with the bold, handmade Polish flavours I grew up with. For me, the potato isn't just a side dish; it’s a canvas for quality ingredients and traditional family recipes.

Our Team
Spudski is a small, dedicated family team run by a husband-and-wife duo. We believe that the best food comes from a kitchen where everyone is passionate about what they do, and we take great pride in bringing a personal touch to every event we attend.
The Chef I take full responsibility for the kitchen. Drawing on my five years of professional restaurant experience, I handle all the cooking—from preparing our secret-rubbed potatoes to slow-cooking our traditional Polish stews and handmade pancakes. My focus is always on quality, ensuring every dish that leaves the hatch meets a chef's standard.
Front of House My wife is the face of Spudski and the first person you’ll meet at the hatch. She manages all the front-of-house service, taking orders and ensuring every guest is looked after with a smile. She is also our resident drink specialist, expertly preparing our range of hot coffees, traditional teas, and chilled refreshments to perfectly complement your meal.
As a family team, we work seamlessly together to ensure our service is fast, friendly, and professional. When you book us, you are getting two people who are deeply invested in making your event a success.

Having spent five years working as a chef in various restaurant kitchens, I developed a deep understanding of food safety, high-volume service, and the technical skills required to deliver consistent, high-quality meals. This professional background ensures that even though Spudski is a fresh name on the scene, our kitchen operates with the discipline and expertise of a seasoned establishment.
As we are in our first year of operation, we believe our biggest milestones are still ahead of us. However, our proudest achievement to date is the feedback from our customers. Since opening, we have focused entirely on perfecting our recipes and ensuring every guest leaves our hatch happy and well-fed.

This is more advanced than the standard entry-level training and reflects my background in professional kitchens. It means I know exactly how to manage a safe environment, from food storage to the way we cook on-site.
Fully Insured & Registered: We are fully registered with the local authority and have all the necessary Public Liability Insurance in place.
