Local, Seasonal, and Delicious We create menus using high-quality ingredients from local farmers, butchers, fisheries, cheesemongers, and artisan producers. A high proportion of our dishes are vegetarian, while our meat is responsibly sourced from trusted local suppliers.

Our Story

Surrey Pantry is led by Gillian Botte, a Cordon Bleu-trained cook and outdoor event specialist with a passion for beautifully crafted, experience-led celebrations.

Raised between the Middle East and Africa, Gillian’s style is inspired by relaxed gatherings under open skies—where generous food, warm hospitality and effortless atmosphere come together. Her career, spanning private travel catering, event management and hospitality, brings a refined yet intuitive approach to every occasion.

Today, she creates bespoke outdoor events for clients who value exceptional food, thoughtful detail and a sense of occasion—where good energy, style and a touch of surprise are always part of the experience.

Surrey Pantry is supported by a dedicated team who bring each event seamlessly to life. Tom Botte oversees facilities and ground logistics, ensuring every event runs smoothly behind the scenes with precision and care. Our corporate kitchen is led by Matthew Hart, working alongside a talented collective of freelance chefs including Rich, Mark, Remi, Jane, Jackie and Rob, among others—each bringing their own expertise and creativity to the table. Our senior event planners, Paula, Rachael, Hannah who are all working closely with clients to shape and deliver beautifully considered events. Supporting the operational and financial side of the business alongside Gillian are Emma, Anna and Terry, who also leads our IT and communications infrastructure.

Together, the team shares a commitment to thoughtful detail, seamless delivery and creating exceptional experiences from start to finish.

Gillian Botte is a Cordon Bleu-trained cook and outdoor event specialist, known for creating refined, experience-led celebrations that feel both effortless and deeply personal.

Having grown up between the Middle East and Africa, her approach to entertaining is shaped by a lifelong appreciation for gathering under open skies—where generous food, warm hospitality and a sense of occasion come naturally. These early influences continue to inspire her signature style: relaxed yet elegant, abundant yet thoughtfully curated.

Gillian’s career spans private travel catering, personal assistance and high-level hospitality roles, working alongside leading industry professionals across corporate events, outdoor gatherings and event management. This breadth of experience brings a rare balance of creativity, precision and intuition to every event she delivers.

As the founder of Surrey Pantry, she works closely with clients to design bespoke occasions that reflect their vision—combining exceptional seasonal food with atmosphere, detail and seamless execution.

At the heart of her work is a simple belief: the most memorable events are those where great food, good energy and genuine connection come together effortlessly.
