Taco Picante

Taco Picante is a Bristol-based street food and catering business specialising in authentic, Mexican-inspired tacos. Our food is inspired by the flavours and techniques discovered on a journey to Oaxaca, Mexico, and we focus on producing a small, carefully curated menu made with high-quality ingredients and bold, flavourful salsas.

We operate at events, festivals, and pop-ups, and also provide bespoke catering for weddings, private parties, and corporate events. Our aim is to deliver simple, well-executed food with vibrant flavours, while offering a friendly and professional service for every occasion.

Taco Picante started after a trip to Oaxaca, where we fell in love with the food, the atmosphere and the way something as simple as a taco could be so good. It sparked the idea of bringing that style of food home and doing our own take on it.

We’ve both worked in events and festival catering for over ten years, so we know how much good food can add to an event — and how important it is to keep things running smoothly when there’s a queue of hungry people waiting.

After spending a few years catering private events, we decided to take the leap and get our own Airstream trailer. It’s given us the chance to take Taco Picante out on the road and do more festivals, markets, public events and private parties.

We’re inspired by Mexican food, but especially by its simplicity and big flavours. We keep our menu focused, make things properly and aren’t afraid of a salsa with a bit of heat. Ultimately, we do it because we love cooking, we love events, and we really like feeding people good tacos.

With over ten years of experience working in events and festival catering, we both have a strong understanding of what it takes to deliver great food and service in a busy event environment. We have also built up several years of experience providing catering for private events, from parties and celebrations to smaller gatherings.

More recently, we decided to take the leap and bring Taco Picante to the next level by investing in our own catering trailer. This has allowed us to expand beyond private events and start attending more public events, markets and festivals, sharing our food with a much wider audience.

We’re excited to continue growing Taco Picante, building on our years of event catering experience while creating our own identity and bringing our love of Mexican-inspired street food to more events across the region.

Taco Picante caters for a wide range of clients and events, from private celebrations and family gatherings to corporate events, weddings, parties and community occasions.

Our clients typically include individuals and families looking for fresh, vibrant Mexican street food for birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations and special occasions, as well as businesses seeking catering for staff events, meetings, launches and corporate functions.

We also work with event organisers, wedding planners, venues and festivals, providing a flexible catering service that can accommodate both smaller intimate gatherings and larger events. Our focus is on serving freshly prepared, authentic Mexican-inspired food in a relaxed and memorable way, making us suitable for a variety of event styles and audiences.
