Our Story
The Grindfather was created out of a genuine love for coffee and the experience around it. After years of working with coffee and learning what makes a great drink — from the equipment to the technique and the service — I wanted to build something that focused on quality, consistency and doing things properly.
I started The Grindfather to bring barista-level, espresso-based coffee to events of all sizes, without compromising on standards. Too often, event coffee is treated as an afterthought, so my goal has always been to make sure every guest gets a drink that’s well made, well presented and enjoyable.
What inspires me most is seeing people genuinely enjoy their coffee — whether it’s the first cup of the day at a corporate event or a mid-afternoon drink at a wedding or festival. I take pride in running a clean, reliable setup, working efficiently under pressure, and adapting to different events and environments.
Today, The Grindfather operates across Cardiff and the surrounding areas, providing a professional, friendly coffee service that clients can rely on. For me, it’s about great coffee, great service, and making each event just that bit better.

In our first year of operating, we’ve had the opportunity to work with a range of great organisations and venues, including the NHS, Full Send South Wales, Beach Rugby Wales, Morgan’s Army Charity, Cardiff Market, Urban Market, a Porsche specialist in Bristol, SSC Weightlifting, Ludus Gym (Monmouth), Gym Vision Cardiff, and Clifton Car Boot Sales, Berkeley Castle, among many others.
Our typical clients are coffee lovers who value quality and consistency, but also appreciate a professional service at an affordable, transparent price point. We work with clients who know what they want and trust us to deliver great coffee without cutting corners.
We’re happy to support all types of events, from small private gatherings to large-scale events with 1,000+ guests. Our service is well-suited to weddings, corporate events, festivals, markets and private functions, and we adapt easily to different event sizes and environments.
Most of our bookings are in Cardiff and within a 50-mile radius, and our flexible, self-sufficient setup allows us to serve both indoor and outdoor events with ease.
