The Hippos Eye Photography

Hippo’s Eye Photography is a hybrid photography and media business that specialises in sports event coverage and promotional content for local businesses and shops. We capture high-quality action images at sporting events while also helping businesses increase visibility through professional photography and visual marketing content for websites, social media, and advertising.

Hippo’s Eye Photography started during a time of big change in my life. After receiving the difficult news that I would be medically discharged from the Army, I had to find a new direction and a new version of myself. When I turned 40, I picked up a camera and something just clicked, it flowed naturally and quickly became more than just a hobby. With the support and mentorship of Two26 Photography, and in particular Jack Schofield, who I owe a huge amount to, I’ve been able to develop my skills and turn that passion into Hippo’s Eye Photography.

My experience in photography has been shaped by hands-on learning and strong mentorship. Through the hugely beneficial guidance and support from Two26 Photography and mentor Jack Schofield, I’ve developed the skills and confidence to professionally capture a wide range of events. This mentorship has allowed me to progress quickly from learning the craft to independently covering events such as military pass-off parades, sporting competitions, and community events, delivering high-quality imagery that captures both the moment and the atmosphere.

We don’t have a typical client. Hippo’s Eye Photography works with anyone who needs strong visual content, from sports teams and event organisers to independent shops and local businesses looking to promote their brand.
