The first Larder opened in Wanstead High Street in 2007, an antidote to greasy spoons and generic coffee chains, it aimed to offer a relaxed place to meet, eat & drink. Following its warm welcome by the Wanstead locals, two more venues opened, in Bethnal Green and at Butlers Retreat in Chingford, each with individual characteristics and menu options to ensure the Larder as a whole is a collection rather than a chain. Like its predecessors, the fourth venue, within the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow, has become a firm favourite with visitors and locals alike and acts as an essential hub for the community. Most recently the Larder has found a new home within the restored Engine House at Walthamstow Wetlands, an exciting new nature reserve in the heart of London’s Lea Valley suitable for weddings & events upto 140 guests.
Committed to using quality ingredients and local suppliers, ensuring you can expect consistency across the collection, we now also specialise in event and offsite catering as well as catering at our venues. We cater for guest numbers from 50 to 1000 and have refrigerated delivery to ensure food reaches you in perfect condition, and can offer hot food too using our hotbox service.

Recently we put together a sumptuous breakfast buffet a for a group of CEO's being hosted by the London Borough of Waltham Forest. We also recently delivered a sandwich and finger buffet using artisan-baked bread and whole-food ingredients for Thames Water.
