Welsh Italian Pizza Co.

Based in Tonypandy and covering Cardiff, Newport, Swansea, Bridgend, the Rhondda, Torfaen, Monmouthshire and the Vale of Glamorgan. We are a family bakery business, and pizza is the thing we added because we liked it best.

Each base is knocked back and kneaded by hand using "00" flour, which gives it a light, crisp bite, and we blend our own tomato sauce with plenty of fresh basil in it. There are eleven on the menu, from Margherita and Marinara through to BBQ Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala, plus dessert pizzas. The Marinara is dairy-free as standard and we do vegan with notice.

Most of our work goes out in the pizza van, which has the ovens built in and hands pizzas straight out of the hatch. If you want wood-fired specifically, that is the oven trailers or the pizza truck, which carries a copper wood-fired oven on the back. The truck is an upgrade and needs 3m of width and 3.5m of height to get in, so we check access venue by venue before we promise it. Whichever unit comes, we arrive needing nothing from your site: no power, no water, and no travel charge wherever you are.

We cater from around 30 guests up to 150 in a constantly refreshed buffet, and at full tilt we turn out over 100 pizzas an hour from the one oven. Rated 5 for food hygiene by Rhondda Cynon Taf in September 2026.
