About Wild Science

Wild Science offers a range of services for schools, nurseries, children's birthday parties, care homes, special events, school fetes and more. Our animal therapy programs cater to care homes, SEN schools, We also provide services for film and TV productions and corporate events. In a Wild Science Animal workshop, attendees will have the chance to see a wide range of mammals, reptiles, amphibians and Invertebrates while learning interesting facts about them. Our experienced experts ensure everyone gets the opportunity to handle and interact with the animals. They are also available to answer any questions. Our science demonstrations cover various topics such as states of matter, electricity, forces, magnets, and more for schools. For parties, we offer engaging activities like slime making, DIY lava lamps, and dry ice experiments. We provide sensory slime and bubbles specifically designed for SEN children. Additionally, we offer science crafts like soap and bath bomb making for care homes. All our staff are fully insured, DBS checked with enhanced disclosure, and will arrive with photo ID and a DBS Certificate, ensuring a safe and reliable experience for all.

Outstanding experience

The communication from this company was exceptional throughout. They arrived right on time and provided SUCH amazing experience. We had Shannon for our party. She was outstanding and pitched the tone of the information perfectly. For the 1.5 hours she was here, she provided so much fun to both adults and children alike. Every cent well spent. So highly recommended

Really intersting! I'd book them again

Positives: I really enjoyed the information & the animals, great improv to handle the disruptive toddlers. He was timely & professional. Things that would've made this 5 *: At times I found him hard to hear as the kids (especially the small ones) are noisy so maybe a tiny microphone to amplify his voice a little. 1 more animal would've been perfect as we paid for an hour but it ended up running 40 mins (which in hindsight I should've booked for as toddlers can't sit still for long periods of time). Summary: I would still rebook for future events & recommend to other parents. My highlight was Queenie the tarantula & the leopard lizard! I got a lot of compliments from the parents and the kids said they thoroughly enjoyed it.

On the noise: you’ve touched on a common challenge for interactive, hands-on workshops with little ones. We avoid microphones because amplified sound can stress some of our animals, even at low levels, so we prioritise their welfare and a calm environment. That said, we’re always working on new ways to balance clarity and comfort, and your feedback is very helpful as we review our approach. So personable!

Shannon was so personable and passionate about what she does, she had time to chat and explain to all and helped talk people round if they were a bit weary but wasn't pushy at all! Would definitely recommend!
