About Yorkies Micro

At its heart, Yorkies is simple: we pair carefully selected beers with bold, handmade Yorkshire puddings — taking the humble Yorkie far beyond the Sunday roast and turning it into something playful, unexpected and seriously delicious.

This isn’t a plated, sit-down dinner with tiny portions and long speeches. It’s social. It’s warm. It’s handheld. A beer in one hand, a Yorkie in the other. Guests move, chat, laugh and come back for more. The atmosphere feels like your favourite pub on a Sunday afternoon — just without the need for a knife and fork.

Every menu is built around beer first. Whether we’re featuring your favourite local brewery, showcasing specific beers you want to champion, or curating something special for your event, we design the Yorkshire pudding pairings to match. Each filling is crafted to complement flavour profiles, not compete with them. Malty, hoppy, rich, bright — we build comfort with intention.

And that character matters.

What makes Yorkies stand out is that it feels both nostalgic and new. Everyone recognises a Yorkshire pudding. No one expects it served like this. It’s conversation-starting food. It’s Instagram-worthy without trying too hard. It’s familiar enough to feel comforting and creative enough to feel special.

Operationally, we’re calm, organised and experienced in live event environments. From kitchen logistics to service flow, we understand how to deliver something that looks effortless because it’s properly planned. We work closely with venues, breweries and event organisers to make sure the experience fits the space, the crowd and the energy of the night.

If you’re looking for catering that feels different without feeling risky, memorable without being gimmicky, and generous without being formal, Yorkies Micro delivers.

They’re for celebrations, for teams, for communities, for launches, for “just because.”

Book Yorkies Micro and bring Yorkshire soul to your event — wherever it lands.

Our Story

Yorkies Micro exists because I missed home.

I was born in Lincoln, bred in Hull, and raised on proper roasts, micro-pub culture and the kind of hospitality where no one leaves hungry. Pubs weren’t just places to drink — they were social hubs. You stood at the bar, you talked to strangers, you shared stories, and you always had something comforting in your hand.

When I moved to London in 2023, I fell hard for the city’s energy. The pop-up culture, the collaborations, the speed, the creativity — it’s electric. I loved the idea that a space could transform overnight, that chefs could experiment, that food could be playful and temporary and exciting.

But I missed the micro-pubs. I missed the feeling of get it now before it’s gone. I missed Yorkshire puddings that weren’t all air and no substance. I missed that Sunday roast comfort — but I didn’t want to recreate Sunday dinner. I wanted to reimagine it.

Yorkies Micro was born from that tension.

It’s the meeting point between two worlds: Yorkshire roots and London momentum. Micro-pub culture and pop-up innovation. Nostalgia and reinvention.

As a performer turned hospitality obsessive, I’ve always been drawn to creating experiences. Events, theatre, immersive spaces — I understand how atmosphere shapes memory. Yorkies isn’t just about food; it’s about how it feels in the room. The flow. The laughter. The sound of taps pouring. The comfort of something familiar, served in a way you didn’t expect.

Yorkshire puddings are wildly underrated. They’re the most versatile vessel in British food — nostalgic, comforting, structurally perfect — and yet they’ve been confined to the side of a plate for far too long. I wanted to champion them properly. To treat them with respect. To take them beyond the roast and into something bold, handheld and beer-ready.

Yorkies is happening because I believe comfort food doesn’t have to be boring. Because I believe pubs should feel alive. Because I believe beer deserves food built around it, not as an afterthought. And because I believe feeding people is one of the purest ways to bring them together.

It’s also happening because of the people behind it — my family, my partner, my friends — women who graft hard, cook with heart and show up fully. Yorkies carries their energy. It carries home with it.

This isn’t about scale for the sake of scale. It’s about building something that feels real, rooted and generous. A roaming concept that can travel anywhere, but never loses its Yorkshire soul.

Yorkies Micro is happening because I wanted to create the kind of night I’d want to go to.

A beer in one hand. A Yorkie in the other. Standing at the bar. Talking to strangers who don’t feel like strangers for long.

Our Team

Yorkies is proudly an all-female, Yorkshire-founded business rooted in inclusivity, community and warmth. We believe food should bring people together. We believe pubs are social hubs. We believe comfort food doesn’t need to be boring. Every event carries that spirit — welcoming, generous and just the right amount of cheeky.

Not as a marketing angle. Not as a gimmick. Just as a fact.

At its core, Yorkies is built by partners, sisters, mums, nans, best friends and glorious women who show up, graft hard and cook with heart. It’s loud, it’s warm, it’s collaborative and it’s deeply supportive. We back each other properly — in the kitchen, in business, in life.

We are also proudly queer-inclusive. Yorkies is a space where everyone is welcome, where identity is celebrated, and where hospitality means exactly that: a seat at the table, or a place at the bar, for all. It’s a gay ol’ time — in every sense of the phrase.

The team itself is a mix of creatives and hospitality lovers. Performers who became kitchen leads. Artists who can plate as beautifully as they can paint. Women who know how to run pubs, manage events, prep at pace and still find time to laugh in the middle of service. There’s skill, yes — but more importantly, there’s heart.

Family runs through it all. The recipes are rooted in home. The graft is inherited. The warmth is non-negotiable.

Beyond the immediate team, Yorkies is committed to widening opportunity. We actively support initiatives like Change Please, working to create pathways into hospitality for women who are rebuilding their lives after time in the justice system. Hospitality can be transformative — it builds confidence, structure, skill and community — and we believe in using Yorkies as a platform for more than just food.

We want to create events that feel good and do good. Where possible, we open doors. Where possible, we create work. Where possible, we build confidence and belonging.

Yorkies isn’t just about championing Yorkshire puddings and beer pairings — it’s about championing people.

It’s about building something where women lead, queer joy is normal, second chances are real, and everyone leaves feeling looked after.

The food matters. The beer matters.

But the people matter most.

Experience

With over 13 years’ experience across live events, hospitality, theatre, and large-scale productions, I’ve built my career around bringing people together through memorable experiences. My background spans major public events, immersive productions, and venue-led operations, alongside senior roles in catering and hospitality management.

I’ve worked on world-class projects including opening ceremonies, broadcast productions, and high-profile live events, coordinating large teams, managing complex logistics, and delivering under pressure. I’ve led multi-site operations, supported restaurant openings, overseen location catering for major TV and film productions, and managed large-scale immersive events.

Alongside this, I’ve delivered premium brand activations and events for clients including London Fashion Week, Patek Philippe, Ralph Lauren, Mandarin Oriental, Soho Farmhouse, Moët Hennessy and Bacardi. I hold a Personal Licence and Level 3 Food Hygiene & Safety certification, and I bring strong operational planning, compliance awareness, and commercial understanding to everything I do.

Yorkies Micro is the natural evolution of all of that experience — a passion project turned business. It combines my love of Northern hospitality, creative production, and exceptional service into a concept that’s playful, polished, and professionally delivered.

From concept to live event, I oversee every detail personally — ensuring every guest leaves with a beer in one hand, a Yorkshire pudding in the other, and a proper good time.

Typical Clients

Yorkies Micro works beautifully for private events, brand launches, weddings, birthdays, corporate socials and community gatherings. It can run as a full three-course pairing experience for a structured event, or as individually served Yorkies for a more relaxed, drop-in style. It scales from intimate celebrations to high-energy standing receptions without losing its character.

Credentials

I hold a Personal Licence and Level 3 Food Hygiene & Safety certification, ensuring full compliance with UK licensing and food safety standards. My professional background spans large-scale live events, venue operations, and production catering, where adherence to health & safety, risk assessment, and operational compliance has been essential.

Throughout my career, I have worked within regulated environments including broadcast productions, large public events, and multi-site hospitality operations. This has required close alignment with licensing laws, safeguarding procedures, union guidelines (including Equity), and site-specific health and safety protocols.

While Yorkies Micro is an independent venture, it is underpinned by over a decade of professional event management experience, commercial awareness, and operational best practice. I bring strong knowledge of budgeting, supplier management, staffing, and safe food handling into every event.

In addition, I volunteer with Poplar Union, supporting community engagement and event delivery, reinforcing my commitment to responsible, inclusive practice within local communities.
