The Rhythm Rats Function Band

The Band Line Up
The Rhythm Rats create a high energy atmosphere with non-stop music to keep feet on the dance floor. With 20+ years of performing experience between them, the band consists of drums, bass, 2 guitars and 4 vocalists (female lead singer). The line up of the band can be altered to suit the musical situation or the client needs (also available as a 3 or 4 piece).

The Repertoire
Our repertoire is made up of a mixture of funk, rock, pop and soul tunes. For example, we play songs from Bruno Mars, Amy Winehouse, The Killers, Chic, The Beatles, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Wheatus, Aretha Franklin, Elvis Costello, Crowded House and many more.

Practicalities
We can provide stage lighting and our own PA if required, as well as having the appropriate liability insurance.

The Band Members Experience
Fin spent the early part of his working life touring and recording with artists such as; Big Bam Boo (MCA records) One (Chrysalis) and 29 Palms (IRS records). TV work includes appearances on Wogan, Daytime Live, Live at The Town and Country and The James Whale Show. He has toured supporting artists including Debbie Harry, Sister Sledge, Joe Cocker, Belinda Carlisle, Then Jerico, The Hothouse Flowers, Al Stewart.

Steve studied at University of Hertfordshire and has a degree in music composition for media. He has spent his working life as a free lance guitarist, teaching in schools as well as being in high demand for studio work such as recording and writing with Neneh Cherry in the 90's.

Dev studied for a degree in music production and since University he has become a full time guitar teacher, teaching at 4 separate schools as well as privately. He is in high demand as a guitarist and plays in multiple bands; both function and original. He has performed and booked artists at the Isle of Wight Festival for the last 4 years.
