About Butterfly Garden Tea Parties

We offer a variety of tea party menus to cater to all tastes, featuring delicious homemade cakes, and scrumptious savouries, fluffy scones served with fruit preserves and clotted cream, and dainty finger sandwiches. Presented on fine china plates, complemented with tablecloths, cake stands, bunting, and more—the quintessential English tea experience, perfect for your special occasion. Our extensive collection of china, spanning from the 1920s to the 1960s, adds a touch of vintage charm, ensuring it is a day to remember. We set up at your chosen venue, and we can stay to serve if required. Once the event is over, we clear away and do all the washing up. Our elegant displays are sure to impress your guests and elevate the quality of your afternoon tea experience. Whatever your style—be it vintage, mad-hatter, festival-themed, whimsical, or casual—we have something to suit your budget and aesthetic. Our tea parties are a lovely way to enjoy time with friends and family, and they are suitable for a wide range of events, including: Birthdays, Engagements, Hen Parties, Wedding Breakfasts or Receptions, Hand-fasting Ceremonies, Anniversaries, Baby Showers, Christenings and Naming Ceremonies, Weekend getaways or Air B&B Stays, Ladies' Lunches, Business Lunches, Retirements, Memorial Teas or Wakes, Graduations, Corporate Events and Photo Shoots.

If you prefer to arrange your own catering, our china hire packages provide a wonderful option to impress your guests. We deliver everything to you, set it out, and collect. For quotations, bookings and all other enquiries, please contact us.

We have a range of event buffet and canape menus to choose from, from 8 to 100 guests. You can choose to include vintage china with your catering, or have them supplied separately.

Our Story

We began our journey in 2016 by offering beautiful vintage china for hire, quickly establishing ourselves as a trusted supplier for local venues and caterers. Since then, we have developed our own range of menus, including afternoon tea, buffets, grazing platters, and canapés, which can be served independently or as part of a china hire package.

We truly enjoy meeting guests at various events, from weddings to wakes and all of life's special occasions in between.

Experience

Our business was established in 2016. We initially focused on hiring vintage china and have since expanded to include a variety of catering options. We now offer afternoon tea menus, canapés, event catering, buffets, grazing tables, gift boxes, and much more.

We truly enjoy setting up at events, meeting guests, and hearing how our exquisite vintage china evokes memories of the past and adds a touch of elegance to their celebrations.

We have been privileged to provide catering for many notable events, including The One Show and Omaze. Our services have included setting up tea parties in fields, forests, and a cathedral, delivering 160 packed lunches for a choral festival, and supplying 2,000 cupcakes for the University of Kent's graduation services. We can't wait to see what this year will bring.......

Typical Clients

We offer afternoon tea and tea parties for a wide range of events, from small intimate picnics to tea dances, corporate functions, and weddings for up to 100 guests. We provide separate options for china and crockery hire or as part of our catering packages. Our team collaborates with your other suppliers to ensure your event runs smoothly, and we strive to accommodate most requests. We operate throughout Kent, including Sittingbourne, Whitstable, Herne Bay, Margate, Broadstairs, Deal, Dover, Folkestone, Canterbury, and Ashford.

Credentials

Members of several networking groups, including The Kent Wedding Circle, are professional wedding suppliers. We are also preferred suppliers for several local tea rooms, cafes, and sporting clubs.

Splendid vintage wedding reception!

Debbie and her wonderful team provided the vintage afternoon tea for our sons wedding on the 28th September at Havenfield Hall in Folkestone. Absolutely amazing!! Splendid service, fantastic cakes and savories. Everything served with a smile, can't recommend butterfly garden tea parties highly enough! The wedding was perfect ,a wonderful day!
