What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

We are quite flexible but the more a customer can give us in detail the better. We definitely need to know where, when and how many and whether it is inside or outside. But adding if the customer would like a 'relaxed' or 'formal' setting helps hugely. If you are having a theme this is ideal to let us know so we can tailor our details and quote on your event. Just as important in telling us what you do need/want is to tell us what you don't need/want.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Check out the provider's website/Facebook page or Instagram, this can give you an idea about their style. Do look at reviews, not only on Add to Event but also on external sites such as Google, Facebook etc. Providers should feel passionate about their business and you should get that feeling from their email, they will want to do the best for you and take pride in their service to you.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Kate and Pepe Vintage Afternoon Teas was started when I acquired a Peugeot Van from France to be converted into a catering van who turned into Pepe. I wanted to use my culinary and baking skills to provide a unique catering experience for outside weddings and parties, and with Pepe, we provide beautiful bespoke afternoon teas. We now have the great pleasure of catering for couples to achieve their wonderful weddings too.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I'll draw on the most recent party I had booked through Add to Event. It was for a lovely Diamond Wedding Anniversary party for a family of 15. Communication through Add to Event was smooth, easy and I had all the details I needed to provide an accurate quote to the client. After the party, I received wonderful feedback from the client, promptly due to the reminder system, with one guest even comparing our afternoon tea favourably with the Ritz!
