What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
To enable us to provide a comprehensive quote to a client, a break down of the event details would be ideal; including the date and duration of the event, type of event, how the tents would be used, venue/location and area tents will be set up (hard surface or grass etc) - basically as much information as possible. From the information given we can use our years of experience and expertise to create a bespoke package to suit your needs.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking to use a bell tent provider, you want to know who you're dealing with - what experience they have within the tent hire/events sector, if they have public liability insurance etc. Then look at the services offered and the quality of the tents/props used. I would always try speak to the provider before booking, as it's important you're confident they are the right team for your event and speaking directly will give you a better understanding of the people behind the company. It's important you believe they are passionate about your event.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
From stilettos to wellies, parTpees was created during a drastic change of scenery. With a passion for creative styling and the outdoors, it was an easy choice to leave the corporate world of sales and marketing behind me. Leaving 20 years of business experience to start a new venture that would enable me to work with my daughter, work throughout our beautiful countryside and create a brand that comes second to none was scary but oh so worth it. With an excellent client service ethos that drives us to deliver the best service and cool, colourful interiors which create beautiful tents that are unique each time, we have a unique chance to really make a difference to someone's event. parTpees gives me the freedom to explore with new ideas and work with great people. parTpees has created a fairy tale ending for us, and the story keeps getting better. We truly love what we do and strive to go that extra mile for all of our lovely clients.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Add to Event is a great marketing tool for us. We have had lots of bookings since using the platform and are very happy with the overall quality of the leads. One booking came in last minute - a surprise birthday party over 100 miles from us. After getting our briefing the next day, we turned up on site to set up and we only had two hours before the guests arrived so we had to work efficiently, overcoming a few obstacles to get the tent through a narrow gate. Once we set up, we added extra dress to the venue to create a magical romantic garden that blew the clients away. Not only did we take on the job at short notice, we created a backdrop for the party that was beyond their expectations. The reviews were outstanding from the guests and client. When we receive referrals and they ask us for recommendations we always refer them to Add to Event, as the platform is great for growing your business.
