What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests and an estimated number of bell tents required. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable cost to agree with the customer.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, ask the provider about the product they are offering, for example, the size of the tent you can get and what the furnished costs are. You don't want hidden surprises down the line. Many bell tent providers only offer 4m bell tents, where we offer 5m tents and pretty much the same cost if not cheaper. Also, ask about setting up times and take down dates as they may need to be left up until they can be taken down dry.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Village Belles initially started out by a couple of ladies running separate businesses who had a few tents for hire at birthday parties for children. They grew the business as they joined forces and created Village Belles into what it is today. It has been recently taken over by a couple who have a love for events and the outdoors, and are looking to take things further with interior design and the style of the tents.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
There have been lots of bookings through this platform. A few of them have left great reviews for us. One wedding we provided roughly 20 bell tents too. It was the talking point of the day as it turned out to be the backdrop along with the stunning countryside to the wedding itself. When you have that many Bell Tents perfectly positioned and aligned, it just adds to the festival wedding feel. It was a superb day.
