What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order for us to send you a quote please provide us with some essential information. We need to know the date and place of your event; how many guests you are expecting; what style of menu you would like: eg. hot or cold food. Working on this information we can send through menus and pricing. Moving forwards, we can work with you to create the perfect menu for your event!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The food served at your event has the potential to be one of the most memorable and talked about aspects of the day. If good food is important to you, don't be afraid to grill your provider about how they plan to prepare your menu, whether they use fresh ingredients and whether their products are made in house. A good provider will be able to handle special requests. A great provider will use their expertise and commitment to quality to create a really memorable occasion for you and your guests!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

We are a husband and wife team who have spent over a decade working together in restaurants and private homes around the world. We have spent the last four years building our own food business in our hometown of Birmingham that celebrates everything we think is fundamental to good cooking. We prioritise well-executed, simple dishes over trends and gimmicks. We love meeting new people and more than anything, we want to leave our customers feeling happy, well-fed and looked-after!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Our first event booked through Add to Event was a family event celebrating a diamond wedding anniversary. We worked together with our customer to come up with a simple cold buffet menu with a mixture of nibbles, sandwiches, buffet items and desserts. We incorporated special requests for some family favourites including vol-au-vents and devils on horseback. We delivered all the food and left the guests to enjoy their buffet in the comfort of their own home.
Our customers described themselves as "foodies" and clearly prioritised good quality food, however, it simply wasn't practical for them to be able to prepare food for a large group and entertain at the same time. We were able to take away the hassle while still delivering a menu that felt personal to them.
2 1/2 years later, we have received a request from a guest at that party for help with another family event they have planned. It is a real delight for us to develop ongoing relationships with our customers!
