What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote and check suitability we ideally need the event date, a brief explanation of the event, estimated footfall, the pitch location type, eg grass, hard standing etc.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Usually the most important things are what's the menu, what are the prices and what's your availability, after that it's more personal questions suitable to your event, from napkin choices to Vegetarian options, it's also worth checking food ratings from the EHO and asking for food hygiene certifications.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I (Monica) trained as a Barista, I also worked in the fast food industry and wanted to combine both, offering a unique gourmet burger and hot dogs along with Italian-style coffee, it was my dream to stand out from the crowd and we truly achieved this, I didn't want a standard caravan style vehicle, I wanted an eye-catching high spec build.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

As a new company and even newer to this platform we are really happy with the opportunities and bookings we've received, our latest event from last night stands out because we had a very small time window to feed a lot of people, the obvious challenge was keeping the queues down through efficiency, making sure we catered to everyone and left them feeling positive about the experience, going from feedback we delivered and the event organiser was very happy. We would definitely recommend Add to Event as it's created work opportunities we would have missed otherwise and it gives the client a chance to make sure they get a caterer suitable for their bespoke event.
