For us to provide you with an accurate quote please let us know how many people you are catering for, what sort of event you are holding and if there is any particular theme or idea you have in mind. Of course, we are always happy to discuss your ideas, flavour combinations and anything else to make your event a success!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always take a look at the previous work of your cake maker to get an idea of what they specialise in and the reviews they receive. Your cake maker should be able to offer plenty of advice and show experience in their field of work. it's always worth working with someone you strike a good rapport with and who has a good customer service ethic.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Boozy Bakers started after I made some Gin & Tonic cupcakes for a friends charity event. They were a real hit and I was encouraged to sell them! Very quickly I had gained the interest from local suppliers, businesses and event planners. I have produced a vast menu of flavours and we make bespoke cakes too, from giant corporate cakes to canapé cupcakes! I love that we provide something different and unique for our customers and have broadened our scope to include cakes by post and edible art.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

The best booking we took was to create a giant cake to celebrate a corporate milestone - It only just fit through a large door and thank God we have a massive car to deliver! We were sent the request just a couple of days before it was required but it was great to step up to the challenge. We were asked to create a cake for a morning event and a classic flavour with a twist. We made a beautiful lemon and earl grey sponge covered in a light lemon buttercream and decorated with a running track, starting pistol, confetti and corporate logos. We created the cake within the deadline and received high praise from our client.
