What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For a quote and to know my availability I will need to know your wedding date and the location for your wedding. This is because the coverage of weddings within 2 hours of my home address is included in my price. This also helps me to know whether a meeting in person or over Zoom is the best option before you book me. What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

One piece of advice I always give is book a wedding photographer based on their work. It can be so tempting to just book the lowest quote you get but wedding photos are an investment and in 10, 20 or even 30 years time you'll want to look back on your photos and smile as the photos truly reflect your wedding day. Once you have a list of photographers whose work you like then you can start to narrow it down based on price.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I was an amateur photographer for many years, mostly doing landscapes. I then was asked if I'd shoot a friends wedding and of course, I said yes. I loved the experience so much that I thought wouldn't this be amazing if this was my job and so I started to shoot weddings as a second photographer for other, established photographers in the area. Once I had a bit of a portfolio, I started to market myself and my services and I haven't looked back. I am so lucky being able to do what I do as I still get the buzz from shooting weddings that I got from that very first one.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I will always remember one wedding that I got from Add to Event as the groom was so happy, happier than I've ever seen a groom before. And this wasn't just me as every time I show the images from that wedding to anyone one of their first comments is "look how happy the groom is". The wedding itself was brilliant, it was really small and intimate (it sort of prepared me for Covid weddings) and the atmosphere was really easy going.
Add to Event is such a useful resource for both suppliers and customers as it does a really good job of matching us together and I've had some brilliant weddings from Add to Event. I'd definitely recommend it.
