Busy Bee Catering is a Glasgow based caterer for all manner of events, corporate, weddings, celebrations from grazing boards so you can network whilst you nibble to romantic dinners for two brought straight to your home, they can provide it all! What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
In order to provide a detailed proposal specific to the customer, we require the event date, a rough budget or spend per head, approximate guest count, desired menu/ style of catering and the proposed/ selected venue. Based on this we can create a tailored proposal and quote.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would look for a caterer who was, first and foremost, passionate about the food they cook and who is willing to be as flexible as possible to create a bespoke menu for your event. No event or client is the same, and a good caterer shouldn't force a set offering that doesn't take personal taste or requests into account.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
After setting up a little café, I decided to get back into the more adventurous world event planning and catering! My background is in busy, fine dining restaurants and bars and I wanted to use that knowledge paired with my business experience of running my café to create fabulous dining experiences for my clients no matter the location.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have had so many fantastic experiences with clients on Add to Event! A recent booking found us in a factory feeding hungry workers and bringing festive cheer with a Christmas buffet. The workers loved the menu and the banter was phenomenal. The logistics were challenging but we still provided a high-quality offering by setting up a small field kitchen and making it work!
