What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event, the estimated number of guests, potential venue and whether it's an indoor or outdoor event.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask if delivery and setup is included in the price. When will they be available to set up your decorations and collect them after your event? Determine if there is a deposit and how much it is. Ask if the deposit is refundable and when you need to send full payment for your items. Make a list of exactly what items you will be getting, preferably get this in writing so that you have a binding contract.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I began setting up chair covers, sashes and Christmas decorations at my local church events. I did this for about 3 years, before deciding to start my own hire business, where I cater to the needs of D.I.Y (Do It Yourself). I enjoy providing a reliable service, so I endeavour to keep the needs of the customer at the forefront of my business. I provide stretchy chair covers, sashes, and table linen. We also cater to bespoke client needs where they need unusual chair covers.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I would pick the baby christening event that we provided our service for. I loved this event, as it gave room for imagination to create bespoke chair covers for the unusual chairs the client had at her venue in Bromley. She said she loved it and we were able to deliver to her needs. There is no greater satisfaction than satisfying our clients. We are looking out to receive more requests from different clients and looking forward to their reviews.
