What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For Bea Happy Parties to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, we would need the event date and time, a brief explanation of the type of entertainment they are looking for (party package, character visit, corporate booking) and if they require a character/s. The estimated number of guests and their age average, plus potential venue, whether it's in a hall/school or someone's home. If it's a birthday party ideally a little insight into the birthday child and what they love to do so we can tailor the party specifically to them.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Within this industry, it is important to be clear whether you're hiring a children's entertainer or a party planner. Firstly, ask the provider exactly what the package they are booking includes. An entertainer like myself would provide all party games, equipment and prizes, plus the party speaker as it is used for dancing games but wouldn't provide food for their lunch or party bags. Whereas a party planner would usually organise all of those bits for you. I would also check they have Public Liability Insurance, especially if you are hiring a hall.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

From a young age I have always been very into the performing arts. I also have a love for teaching and working with children, so therefore came up with Bea Happy Parties - my own children's entertainment company. I am very passionate about what I do and aim to make sure every single child and parent leaves with a smile on there face.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

One of the best bookings I have had through Add to Event, was actually my first one. It was a 1 hour 30 minute Princess Package with Belle. Dancing and singing, themed games and the children all got a belle glitter tattoo. Children and parents were all very happy with the entertainment and the party, but equally happy with how easy and efficient the whole booking process was and how easy it was to find me. This platform has been a great tool for my business so far and I will continue to use it.
