What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a quote for your party please let us know the time and date of the event. The location and type of venue (Indoor, outdoor, church hall, lounge). The number of party guests and average ages, and whether or not you have a theme that you would like us to work to.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When you are considering a dance party for your little one, it is important to know that you are booking a company with lots of experience with that age group. Check reviews and DBS certificates. Make sure you enquire about what type of music they will use, will there be any props involved, and if so what are they? Are they able to accommodate your style or theme? At Tappy Toes we love to create a bespoke party for your little birthday boy or girl, so it's helpful to know what they like or don't like, and whether or not they have any favourite songs or TV characters so that we can be sure to reference these during their party!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Tappy Toes was created back in 2002 by professional dancer, Claire Munday. There was a real lack of dance classes for little ones back then, and the Tappy Toes syllabus was created to fill that void and introduce pre-schoolers to dance. The ethos of Tappy Toes has always been to make the class fully inclusive for both boys and girls, to get them active and engaged, and our parties are no different. We will make sure your mini guests have a brilliant time and will leave feeling very tired out and ready for some quiet time!
