What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

I ideally need the date and time of the event, with the number of guests attending and age of the guests. It is also helpful to know the boy-girl rough mix and the type of entertainment that the client is looking for. I can then work out the best quote to give you a fantastic party to remember!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would suggest to make sure you see some photos to make sure the business is established. I would also suggest if the quote may not be exactly what you are looking for, to ask some more questions in case the children's entertainer is able to tweak what they are offering. We offer a wide range of entertainment, and sometimes may be able to offer a different amount of time to bring down the cost, or tweak the entertainment to cover more children for example.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I was an entertainer in London's West End for 10 years, but when I moved out of London to start a family, I wanted to continue entertaining. Dressing up as awesome characters and making children's birthdays special was a fantastic solution and Come To My Party was born. I have since become a specialist balloon twister and other fantastic entertainers have joined the team.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I would say on average, I book 2 - 3 parties a week through Add to Event. It is great to get my company in front of a wider range of potential clients, and it keeps me on my toes with local competition!
