What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To provide a quote, I need to know where, what, and how long. Where are you? What do you want me to do? For example, performing close-up, table magic, or a show, or juggling workshop and balloons? How long do you want me there, and how much of that will I be performing my magic? It also helps to know the kind of space I'll be performing in, so that I can prepare better.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Visit the provider's site. Check for reviews. Lots of people plan a 2 hour party, but you do not need an entertainer entertaining for all of that time. Think how you want to divide your time up.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I discovered a love for magic in Thailand watching a market vendor performing, He wouldn't tell me how he did it until I bought the product. At first I was unimpressed, but soon I saw that it was his show that won me - not the prop. I began slowly but the more I performed, the more I loved it and more people began to recommend me to friends.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event has been the most effective place online for me to find bookings. It's always exciting to get the emails and see if I can be the one to entertain a party or two. I always try to listen to the kids and see where they are hoping the party will go. One party I remember is when we were themed as a masquerade, and all the children came dressed up to the nines. It was fantastic. We then went on an imaginary journey to go collect the other (Disney) princes and bring them to the ball too.
