What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For a more accurate quote for a customer, ideally we need the event date & times, a brief idea of the event they are hosting, estimated number of guests, venue location, types of drinks selection they would like to see available and budget if requesting a pre paid option.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

So firstly I would ask the provider what experience they have with bars, events and cocktails as the more experience brings more ability to produce an excellent event. Iv been in events for nearly 20 years and I notice all the small things straight away that other suppliers may not consider. Secondly ask us about our menu and how flexible we are with the choices as this will help get what you want in terms of the style of drinks on offer. You may want to ask how many staff will be working on an event your size, the glassware we use for premium events or if we can do anything extra like the use of dry ice in our cocktails to make them smoke and stand out to your guests.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Coopers Cocktails was born from offering batched cocktails to local bars & restaurants in Birmingham as they struggled to offer a cocktail menu with limited staff training. I've been managing Large bars and organizing festival events for nearly 20 years so with all my experience I decided it was time to offer a Mobile cocktail bar of my own using all the skills and knowledge I have gained to offer a truly awesome cocktail bar. I always aim to go one step forward and love impressing the guests with crazy cocktails on fire or smoking shots using dry ice.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We haven't been on this platform long but it is already paying off. I would say our best event has been a 40th Birthday party where they had us throughout the evening using dry iced cocktails, flaming shots and the watermelon margarita went down a storm. They have gone on to book us again 3 months later for their sons birthday party with mocktails and again booked us for May this year for another party. Although we are fairly new to Add to Event I would 100% recommend signing up and giving it a chance you would not regret it.
