What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally, we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, location, number of guests and whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can then use our experience and expertise to put together an accurate quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The majority of the cost for mobile coffee operators come down to the logistics, equipment, operations and labour. To truly get a good coffee served at your event, a lot is down to the equipment and most importantly the skilled barista behind the machine.

So be aware of this when a quote comes through and don't underestimate the lengths the good mobile coffee providers go to to make sure the quality of the coffee and service isn't overlooked.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Our business started in Singapore and was brought to the UK in 2016 with the aim of bringing beautiful artisan coffee from a wide range of the worlds best roasters to an ever more discerning London audience. Having honed our experience in the City of London and Canary Wharf popping up in offices and tourist destinations with our mobile barista stations, we learnt a lot about what was required to set up quickly with minimal fuss and get up and running to serve our fantastic coffee. Our Barista Stations are purpose-built - everything is self-contained and it is a simple plug-and-serve solution to cater for any size/type of event.

Because of our smart look and design, we started receiving a huge amount of enquiries to serve coffee for people's events, private gatherings and corporate functions across the UK and have since catered for and received fantastic feedback from many events and continue to build on our success.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We recently catered for a corporate function in central London (W1). It was a breakfast event where the client wanted a barista-made coffee option for a product launch and networking event. The event was received really well and we are already working with the venue and caterer as well on a number of upcoming events as well! I would and do recommend this platform and look forward to having more enquiries come through.
