What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

It can be difficult to remember every aspect of design & styling you would like for your event & is certainly time-consuming having to reel off the same information to each different supplier interested in providing you with a quote. The main points we're looking for are the type of event, the number of guests expected, the event date itself, a theme/colour scheme and any little ideas you may have already had. If you have this information ready right from the off, it makes it much easier to be able to provide an accurate quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I think the most important thing is to get more than 1 quote. Test the waters of different companies out there & have a look at what they can offer you. Some will be a lot cheaper than others, but that doesn't necessarily mean the end product will be of lower quality.
Don't be afraid to ask them questions, if the supplier wants your work they will be willing to answer any questions you throw at them. You need to have complete trust in the suppliers you choose, don't pay any deposits until know they're the right people for the job.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I and my partner Lauren, have both worked in the wedding/hospitality industry for a number of years. I have DJ 'ed at Weddings & events for approximately 10 years and Lauren has worked for numerous wedding venues herself. We decided to combine our skills to form a company that our clients can trust right from the word go, that are approachable & are dedicated to providing the best customer service you can think of.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Since I registered as a supplier on Add to Event, our inbox has gone crazy! We are in the process of meeting 5 new clients, which is a better response than I could have imagined considering we only joined this platform under 1 week ago! New requests come flooding through every day and it's so easy to use! Due to the nature of our service, we haven't yet completed a booking that we have had confirmed on here but that will soon change! Add to Event is a fantastic, well set up platform that has so much potential as it keeps growing. We are incredibly excited to see what new requests come through each day and we can't wait to meet new people using this site!
