What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a quote to a customer, we need the event date to be able to check availability and a potential venue for access and travel purposes. We also need to have an idea of timings and what the customer is looking for. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly take a look at the providers website and social media pages for photos and feedback from previous events and customers. Then put together a list of questions to ask, for example, are you insured? Do you take requests? What experience do you have? Finally, find out about payment terms and contracts and make sure you are happy with them before agreeing anything.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Our main DJ started DJing as a hobby 20 years ago before working his way through clubs and pubs in and around the South East before settling in Norwich and starting up a mobile disco business. The business has been growing successfully for the last 5 years and is now a well known name within the local community.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We have had lots of requests come through via Add to Event, however we have unfortunately not been able to fulfil any as yet due to already being booked. However there was one occasion where a lady contacted us as she had been let down at the last minute and although we were unable to help we were able to find her someone who could and her event was a success!! I have since been recommending Add to Event to lots of my supplier friends and will continue to do so. We are excited to see what the future brings for us.
