For us to provide a comprehensive quote I need some basic information about your event including:
1. Date of the Event
2. Location of the Event including the venue name to assess any access issues and the amount of equipment needed
3. Start and Finish times
4. Estimated number of guests
This information will allow us to put together a quotation and provide a range of options to choose from.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you are looking for a top-quality DJ I would ask them to provide you with some basic information:
1. A link to any online reviews
2. Specific details of their experience of similar events
3. Details of their HMRC registration, Public Liability Insurance and PAT test certificate
4. Ask for a face to face meeting so you can ask some specific questions and get a feel as to whether the DJ has the right attitude and approach to entrust them with your event.
5. Ask for details of their contingency plans if things go unexpectedly wrong
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started DJing many years ago as a Mobile DJ and a Nightclub DJ and took a break for a number of years as my family grew up and to focus on my career.
In 2010 I joined a local community radio station as a DJ / Presenter
In 2012 I set up my own local business. In 2014 I began to focus primarily on delivering outstanding wedding celebrations. I felt I could provide couples with a signature wedding experience with outstanding service quality something which was sadly lacking in the market place with many poor quality operators.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
Matthew and Amanda chose the fabulous Artisan Restaurant at the Biscuit Factory in Newcastle as the venue for their wedding.
The night got off to a great start with the cake cutting, with a choice of several cakes including my favourite the chocolate caterpillar, this was followed by an upbeat first dance to Walk the Moon's Shut up and Dance which Matthew and Amanda duly obliged with their guests joining in.
The dance-floor kept moving from the off till the Midnight Hour ending the night in style with Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes and Had the Time of My Life.
Super night all round and I think I managed to pronounce the Groom's name right by the end of the night.
"Really glad my wife and I booked Ian for our wedding. He really takes care of you and works on the details to help the night run smoothly. We gave him a shortlist of musts and must not but the rest of the night he just kept the dance floor moving. His mixing is on point, provides great lighting and even works a camera between tracks. Couldn't have asked for more! Thrilled mate. Thanks, Ian from both of us! "
Many congratulations to the brand new Mr & Mrs Chijioke and thanks to Add to Event!
