What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide an accurate quote to a customer, we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, and potential venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together an accurate quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We would recommend for you to look at reviews of the potential supplier and ask them how long they have been DJ'ing for. Look at any videos from gigs they have done, ask them if they are insured and is their equipment PAT tested. Ask the supplier what equipment they use and make sure there are no hidden extras.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started Djing at party nights at Avenue, and after six months I was asked to take the contract on. After some time I decided to go mobile, as I liked the variety of the work and I get a buzz from seeing people having a good time. My passion is music and it's interesting to see what different types of music people enjoy listening to.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

The most recent booking which was really successful, was a 40th birthday party. All of the guests were up for a good time and people interacted well by asking for requests. We got a really good review which is on here and one of the guests present booked us for their event. Add to Event has really helped my business and is reasonably priced.
