What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote for a customer, ideally we need the date of the event, the expected number of guests, a brief explanation of the type of event they are hosting with a general idea of music genre's to be played. We would also like to know if the venue booked is ground floor if not is there a working lift available in the venue. Does the venue have any kind of sound limiters or other restrictions i.e no confetti?

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Firstly, ask the provider what online reviews they can provide to understand their reputation within the industry. Ask for website links and any live video clips taken at other events to get an idea of the atmosphere generated from the company. We always recommend a face to face consultation before a deposit is taken. Ensure you are given a full order form and contract sent via email detailing all the information regarding your booking.
