Based in Solihull in the West Midlands, Tone Audio Entertainments is a mobile disco, DJ and sound and lighting hirer that covers the Midlands and surrounding areas. They cater for weddings, birthday parties, corporate functions and more.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date and time, a brief explanation of the type of event that they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, equipment that may be needed, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event and the potential venue. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list and design.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Take in to consideration what you are actually getting for the money that you are willing to pay to your service provider. Do you care about sound quality? Do you care about lighting & the equipment quality? If you need a DJ, do you care about the their experience? How adequate is their music library and can they fulfil all requests? Is safety important to you? For example, does the service provider have their equipment regularly safety checked (PAT tested) and do they have Public Liability Insurance? Are there any backup/contingency plans in place? Also, look at any pictures from past events to see what the set-up/equipment could potentially look like.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Tone Audio Entertainments was born out of the love for music and Djing. After hearing complaints at a family party about the DJ, our founder thought that we could provide a much better service. We always strive to communicate as much as possible with our clients prior to the event to make sure we get it right. Our founder is also a music producer and sound engineer, who studied music and sound to a degree level, therefore the passion is there for all things music, sound and vision related. The founder believes that music brings people together and provides us with more happiness than anything else. We like a party every week and enjoy being a part of our clients happiness, lives and memories.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We were booked for a birthday party last week, and were glad to be able to help at such short notice. We were made to feel very welcome by the clients at the venue, and were very pleased to see our clients happy and the guests having an excellent time. They have even said that they are looking forward to working with us again! Overall, it's just great to be amongst these lovely people each week and are so happy we found Add to Event, who is providing an excellent service by helping us find all these lovely clients.
