Ritchie Lee Entertainment is the one to call if an entertainer for a party, birthday, wedding, or a family get together is needed to make your occasion go with a swing. Here they have some tips for when hiring a DJ or entertainer for your event.
What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For me to be able to give you a quote, I need to know the date, time, and length of the event. I also need to know where the event is taking place. The type of music required is also important, as I need to know what you do and don't want to be played or performed.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for a provider in my area of work, the first thing I would check is how much experience they have. Secondly, I would make sure that they are fully insured, and that their equipment is electrically tested (PAT) tested. I would look at customer reviews from the provider to see how other customers found their services.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started being a DJ back in 1992 after my brother died. he had been a DJ for many years and left all the equipment behind. Rather than getting rid of it all, my brother and I started one up in his name. I have been going ever since but only full time for the last 8 years under the name Ritchie Lee Entertainment as a singer and DJ together.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I have not yet had a booking yet, but I feel Add to Event is a very good platform and so much more cost effective than other services like this. I have had lots of enquiries and have come close to getting bookings. They have advised me on how to change my profile to help me perform better on the network so hoping soon that I will secure some work from them.
