What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide an accurate quote, ideally we need to know the number of people, the location and what's already available there to use and an idea of the type of people and if the event is "high end" or "cheap and cheerful" etc! It's also good to know what they would ideally like to spend so that we can try to stay within their budget if possible. Theming an event, for example, literally can be very different amounts depending on how far you wish to go with it all!
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you are seeking a team building expert, ask them about the specific equipment or games they will bring and whether they can flex their options to bring out "key business messages" if appropriate. We suggest you ask them about their experience and how they might adapt what they do for your specific group. After all, its really important that you hire a company with experience who will pitch the event at the right level for your situation.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Paul Farris Events started as a corporate entertainment business 20 years ago, mainly because I love making people laugh and enabling them to have fun, whatever the occasion! My passion has always been to ensure that whatever we produce has that all-important "wow" factor and making sure people come back to us again and again, saying that was the best XXXX they have ever been to!
