What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

As a company, we are very flexible in the service that we provide. However, in order to provide an accurate quote, we do need to know a few things such as the length of the event, the services required and most importantly the event location. This information allows us to give accurate pricing tailored to individual clients.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

As the first port of call, you should always ask if the company has PLI (public liability insurance) it's not a legal requirement but it honestly should be. Try not to be baffled by jargon, there are very few aspects of this line of work that are not easily explained. Lastly try to appreciate the health and safety of events e.g. weather, staffing and venue size are all important factors, any good events company will be able to advise you accordingly.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

My father has been a DJ for 40+ years, my brother has been a DJ for nearly 20 years, my sister and husband both do event security and I am a qualified chef. I didn't like working in a kitchen so started doing hospitality, which ended up as buffets and barbecues. I then progressed to doing children's parties and the rest, as they say, is history.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I am by no means an Add to Event veteran but I have received consistent bookings through the website. You easily get back what you put in.
I find it hard to choose from so many bookings but with every face painter, bouncy castle or mascot booked, the process is always easy and straight forward, with consistently happy clients and positive reviews.
