What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would ensure the artists are DBS checked and hold public liability insurance, are the products of high quality and safe to use on skin? This is paramount to ensure the safety of yourself and your guests.

How much experience do the artists have and how many guests can they serve per hour?

Ask the provider if they offer packages and what services are offered in order to determine if they are the right fit for your event.

I began freelance face painting at the age of 15 and have over 15 years' experience working in the industry and a wealth of knowledge.

Based on the skills learnt during my degree at Leeds Arts University, I started my own business and began taking my own clients last year.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I can't fault the Add to Event platform. It is incredibly user-friendly and easy to navigate. There is little communication needed to organise and confirm events! I have recommended the platform to all my facepainting friends and we all love it!

I receive a large number of quote requests on a daily basis. My calendar is rarely empty. I often outsource events to fellow artists in my community when I am already booked and vice versa.

It is difficult to choose my favourite event I have been booked for through this fantastic platform, If I had to choose I would be the Queen's Jubilee where myself and two other artists were booked for 2 events in one day! The organisers were incredibly accommodating. They contributed to travel and accommodation as we were travelling to a different city, they even fed us!
