What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

To quote effectively, we would need to know the potential venue, the start and end time, indoor or outdoor event, amount of guests, what kind of event it would be, if they have a particular theme (so that I could work out some designs) and roughly how many guests they expect to attend. From this I can then provide a quote.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would advise that they check reviews on the potential face painter's website or social media. I recommend that they look at their previous work to check it's what they are expecting. That way both client and customer are happy.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

I started face-painting for my daughter's birthday party and fell in love with it. I have always been artistic and loved the freedom that face painting allows - you can create so many different designs. I have been running Sparkle Face face painting now for 4 years and have lots of experience painting both children and adults. I love seeing people's faces when I show them their finished face paint!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had lots of bookings through Add to Event! I've painted at lots of children's and adult's parties, and recently painted at a lovely lady's 60th birthday party. She had turned her garden into a mini Glastonbury!! I created lots of glittery festival faces for her and her guests and she was really pleased. She left me a great review and a great tip!
