What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
The main things we need to know to provide an accurate quote are the postcode of the event, estimated number of guests, time/number of hours of the event and type of event.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are different levels of children's entertainment, in particular face painting and balloon modelling. Some people will take it up as a bit of a hobby and then advertise themselves as if they are a professional. For a stress free event it is important to check with your prospective entertainer - Do they have insurance?
Entertainers should have Public Liability insurance worth between 2- 5 million pounds. How many faces/balloons can they get through in an hour?It is important that you know your entertainer is going to be able to entertain all of your guests and not leave some empty handed. An experienced painter/balloon modeler should be able to get through around 28 children in a 2 hour slot.
What is the quality of their kit like? Good painters will only use hypoallergenic, EU approved equipment, they will use a clean sponge per child and all equipment will be cleaned regularly.
What happens if they get sick? Do they have colleagues who could jump in last minute? Sickness and emergencies inevitably happen on occasions, if your entertainer is part of a team, this will increase the chances of your party being covered should the worst happen.
Do they have examples of their work? Stay clear of anyone who uses generic pictures copied from the internet, ask for examples of their personal work and information about events they have been at.
Do they have a number of good reviews? Check out your prospective entertainer on google or Facebook, check if they have a number of good reviews, the more reviews they have the more likely they are going to be genuine.

Previously operating under the name ‘Emily’s Fabulous Face Paints’, Emily’s Entertainment was founded by Emily in 2013. Emily has always had an aptitude for anything creative and discovered her talent for face painting whilst studying for a Bachelor of Arts degree. Since graduating she has realised that she has a passion and flair for events and occasions. Since then her company has not stopped growing!
Emily has a catalogue of hand-picked artists capable of providing the highest quality entertainment across London and Surrey. Each artist has a wide range of experience and has their work personally vetted by Emily to maintain the company’s high standards.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have had so many wonderful bookings from Add to Event, from superhero parties to princess pamper parties to beautiful Christenings. Last Christmas we enjoyed balloon modelling at a number of office parties in Central London and in the summer we had a great time at a couple of Ibiza themed adult parties.
