What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
What I need from an organiser is the event date, time and location. I also need to know how long the event is, what kind of event is it and an estimate of guests who are likely to need my services. I also need to know if the event will be held indoors or outdoors and if it's outdoors I need to know if there will be cover provided.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would advise that the customer ask for pictures of the face painter's work. The customer can then see what kind of quality the work will be rather than finding out on the day and perhaps being disappointed. I always provide face painting pictures and glitter tattoo pictures to those who ask for them.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
I started my business in 2013 and to start with I just did nails. After a few months I added glitter tattoos and face painting. I used to face paint years ago before I started my own business so a friend asked me to face paint for her and I fell in love with the art all over again. I've since been to a variety of parties, festivals and nightclubs painting both adults and children. I've always been very arty and love all things creative so it was very easy to fall in love with face painting all over again and I get lots of joy when children's faces light up when they see what I've painted.
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
I'm new to this website and only been on for a few days but so far I've got 1 party booked in soon. So far I am really liking this website though and I would recommend it, it's lay out is excellent and it's very easy to use.
