What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

Time, date, location, number of guests and serving time are essential, but also it's good to get the organisers vision of the event, then we can offer a bespoke menu, and any other details we might think would work to make it a bit more special. The more info the better!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask, ask, ask! Part of the fun is in the detail, every job is different, so look for someone who wants to help you achieve your aim, but who can also advise on what works and what doesn't.

Food in the Hood has catered for a whole range of different people, but all with a common theme - excellent food matched with excellent service not to mention excellent customers! Hitting on the events scene just to try it out, and with the help of Add to Event, we've definitely found our calling!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Of all the weddings, parties, film shoots, community days, charity events, sporting events, art events we've had the pleasure of doing, perhaps our most recent through Add to Event was "Who Cares? Scotland" and it will stay with us. The event was run for young people in the care system, just felt great to be giving away really good food to them all, and we had less cheek from them {none in fact} that we get from the adults...but hey we love the van banter!
