What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

In order to formulate the best quote possible for you, we need as much detail as possible about your event. Our main priorities are; where the event is taking place and the number of guests we need to cater for, timings from start to finish and whether you'd like a Hog Roast or Spit Roast. We offer a broad range of extras and can even help provide a bar service alongside your hire, just ask one of our representatives who will be more than happy to assist in figuring out what to offer you.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We would say, ask about the quality of their produce and for pictures of their oven setup. Check whether they have a website and a presence on the internet as well as if they are available to contact by telephone. Ask for their menus and packages, any company worth their sort will have this ready to go for you. Above all, it may be nice to have an in-person meeting where you could discuss options in person.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Forky Porky's is a company with a fresh new look and plenty to offer. It was revived after lockdown by business partners Alan and Byron who, each having worked with Hogroasts before, wanted to pour some flavour and colour into the industry. Forky Porky's has a modern feel that fits with our fresh service, we're all about good taste and happy faces. We're passionate about pork and want each and every hirer to experience that which our motto promises; Pig, Prep, Perfect.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We're part of a group of companies that have provided to a variety of events through Add To Event. Our experience with each booking has been wholly positive with a great deal of space with which to show off our produce and share the taste with newcomers. We've had lots of great feedback come back to us with each booking giving us confidence in our service and wiggle room to tighten up our offerings. We learn more about customers' wants and needs with every service and it's these changing waves that keep us hot on our trotters.
