What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

The more detail an organiser can provide, the better we can cater for your event. Do let us know a little bit about what you are looking for, the types of drinks required and whether you need an indoor or outdoor set-up.
However, one of the great things about our bar is that - regardless of the number of guests, occasion or venue, we have very simple pricing structure - we do not charge a hire or booking fee. We only require a booking deposit to secure your date and if the minimum spend is met - this is either refunded or put towards the bar tab!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Most importantly, ensure your supplier has public and employers liability insurance, they are personal license holders and can support in getting the relevant permissions required for the provisions of alcohol at your event. We'd also recommend a supplier that is a member of the Nationwide Caterers Association to ensure they are following codes of practice and are up to speed with the most relevant industry guidance and hygiene. Obviously, it's also really important that they know a thing or two about serving drinks, so double check what experience they have and quiz them about their bestselling drinks to get a feel for what they'll have on offer.

The Horse & Box was born in 2019 following the completion of the conversion of an unused horsebox into the bar you see today! We have a real passion for fantastic quality, great-tasting drinks - cross this with our friendly and brilliant service and you have a recipe for a perfect event. That's why we're in the business - to create memorable, 5-star events where the drinks keep flowing!

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

Add to Event has helped our business thrive, we get enquiries all the time with many that transition into bookings. You never quite know what requests will come through but that is the brilliant thing - you can work with clients to understand their needs and build bespoke packages that are suitable specifically for them. One of our bookings was for a wedding in the middle of a field - a completely blank canvas - but we worked with the couple to turn it into something unique and special which is great for business and very rewarding!
