What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to give you a fully comprehensive costing for your event can you provide the following the date and time, location and access for a horsebox. We would then need to know what type of event you are hosting, with the number of guests and whether this venue will be indoors or outdoors to suit the horsebox! We also need to know if you would prefer to host a cash bar ie fully paid for in advance, a cash bar where your guests pay for drinks or a mix where a budget is set and once reached we revert to a cash bar. We accept credit card payments too!

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask what type of gins are being served and how they have been sourced - ie by taste, location or price? Ask what brand of mixers (as this is important) is being served and how they have been paired with the gins. Ask for a list of gins to be created to suit your tastes and the tastes of your guests. Ask for a special gin and tonic to be created for your event to make your event even more special!

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

The Stirrup Cup was created to serve a growing trend of Gin drinkers and as my background has been spent working in the top class hospitality industry, I know how to give excellent customer service and the best gin experience! The horsebox was sitting in the field for many years and lends itself to being converted into a bar perfectly - small but perfectly formed. We love what we do and look forward to many more years of superb Gin experiences.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

We towed our Horsebox to a local charity festival and catered for 500 people who all loved gin and wanted to know more about the locally sourced gins we served. We were busy from 5 pm right up to close and people just kept coming back for more. We contributed a percentage of our takings on the night to a local charity supported by the Bramstock. I would recommend Add to Event to other event suppliers as an easy to use, immediate source of local event organisers needs.
