Happy Days Mobile Bar & Barista is a new family run business available to hire for your event, festival, wedding or party. The beautifully converted vintage horsebox comes with Barista Coffee machine and a wide selection of drinks and comes with trained and professional staff too! They also have some handy tips on what to look for when booking a mobile bar for your event.

What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the event they are hosting, the estimated number of guests, the venue and its space available, what type of bar the customer would most like at their event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to create a drinks package with costs.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask the provider what products they are offering and where they came from. This will help you in your decision making particularly if you prefer vegan, organic or Fairtrade products for example. I would want to know if the provider knows about the Coffee they are selling and which products are vegan.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

Following working for the Council for 17 years and not being able to fix a problem without going through chains of command, I wanted to set up my own business, which involved my family and serving lovely drinks to other families. I am passionate about providing a service to suit people's needs, such as vegetarians; vegans; those who are required to eat gluten free products etc. I also wanted to promote Fairtrade and organic products, including the use of biodegradable products. My idea was to be mobile and find a suitable vehicle to operate from and bring my lovely drinks to the people. In January 2019, I found the ideal horsebox and set off to Cornwall with my mum & dad to bring back my beautiful converted vintage horsebox and then the story began :)

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

As I am a new business I have only had a couple of bookings through this platform but am looking forward to lots more!. One is due to happen in December to which I am really looking forward too. The other was a wedding in a beautiful setting in Macclesfield. We set up our lovely horsebox with two opening ramps, suitable accessories & bunting; and nice tables & chairs outside at Adlington Hall. Once the Bride and Groom were married we served all guests with a glass of Prosecco or an alternative non-alcoholic drink of their choice. We then opened a full bar for all guests to purchase another drink or two, as requested. The review we received from the bride was amazing, 5 stars! We were so pleased as this was our first wedding and it went so well. I was very proud of my two grown-up children who delivered this wedding with me :)
