What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a potential client, ideally we need the event date, location and whether the bar is required inside or outside. A brief explanation of the type of event, i.e a Wedding, BBQ or corporate event. We would need to ensure our access is at least 8ft width for the trailer access. We need to know in advance if power is supplied on-site or whether a need to allow for hiring a generator. We don't need any running water, as all products will be supplied by us. We need to know the number of guests attending the event, to calculate the required stock.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
We pride ourselves on our combined years of experience. To ensure every base is covered and every common thing that may trip you up, to be pro-actively accounted for, this comes only from years of experience. We have spent time adapting our drinks menu to cover move with trends, cover the basics and begin to cater for more both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We know how important it is a bar cannot run out of a drink, and ensuring we have just the right amount, is a skill.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
We are pleased to say we are one of the very first Horse Box Bars in both the country and the local region. Starting in 2014, we saw the potential of offering mobile bars in a rustic, but sophisticated way. The Nags Head was born from this, boasting one of the very few that have a bespoke 8x10m canopy offering shade in the hot sun, and cover in wet UK weather. Some 8 years later and following a full and professional respray and conversion, our Horse Box remains as strong today, as the day it was finished.
Couple our unique look and feel, with an experienced, friendly and very knowledgeable team, we've never had a negative review or an unhappy customer!
Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?
We have not yet had a booking through this platform, but we have only been on it 2 days. I've been very impressed with the way the platform works. I'm convinced it's only a matter of time before our first booking comes through!
