What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

It's really simple to get a quote - all you need to provide is your event date, venue and number of guests. The quote includes 2 hours of unlimited ice cream and there are no hidden extras like travelling or setting up time. If the venue is one I've been to before it's all good but just in case it's new to me it's important to make sure it will be accessible for the Trike which is 8 feet long (including the basket) and 3.4 feet wide. Steep stairs are also difficult to negotiate, however I will always try my best to make it work for you.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ice cream is not all the same, so you should ask where and how it's made if you're looking for good quality, real dairy ice cream and also ask if it has any artificial colours or flavours. Find out as well what type of cones are used, how many flavours can you have and what toppings are included. Finally, ask who will be serving the ice cream, if you want a quality personal service it should be the person you are talking to who will be there on your special day.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

During the recession of 2010 I started the business because I wanted to provide a good quality, value for money service to anyone holding a special event who wanted to offer their guests an affordable treat. My aim has always been to give my clients and their guests a special treat to remember and I always get great feedback from everyone - in fact brides often comment that the Trike and the ice cream was the thing their guests commented on the most.

Being a relative newcomer to Add to Event I'm looking forward to following up the many leads I've
