What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?
For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we need the event date, a brief explanation of the type of event, and a potential venue, whether it's an indoor or outdoor event. From this, we can use our experience and expertise to put together a suitable equipment list and design.
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Firstly, ask the providers about the product if it can be customised to suit your theme. Ask the provider if they need any special access to the venue/ location. Ask the providers about other services they offer if you require more than just the initial request as this can save you cost and time.
Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.
Light Up Hire was born out of love for all thing events! I have spent over 7years as a event planner and venue decorations. My passion has always been providing great service and giving people the highlight of their day. During the COVID19 lockdown, the idea of Light Up Hire was formulated as I wanted to still give people something to light up their day. Light Up Hire is about going above and beyond with customers focus at its core.
