What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For me to provide a comprehensive quote I need to know where the event is and what type of event. Also what type of magic you would like to see i.e. do you want walk-around mix and mingle magic or do you want a small show etc.. If you have already allocated a budget for entertainment even better because then we can look at working within your budget requirements.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If you are looking to hire a magician I would always visit their personal website and see if they have a show-reel or videos. This will give you an excellent idea of the way they perform and what you might expect. Also, chat with the magician and see if you like him/her - not all performers are equal. We all have different personalities.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

My passion for magic started when I was 9 years old. Magic is very important in my life and performing for me is about giving people experiences that they can remember forever. I am not too fussed about other magicians and what they are performing. For me, it is more about making sure my audience walks away with a memory.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

I have had a few bookings and I am happy with the way the Add to Event is structured. I must be honest I was sceptical at first. I wasn't sure if I would be making a return on my credits due to my fees. I tend to charge more than some other performers. Sometimes it is frustrating paying credits and not getting a booking, however, you can choose when to submit a quote and when not. If you are looking to get work and are at the lower end of the fee scale then this site would be amazing for work.
